<p>Recently, a colleague shared a video that he wanted us to take a look at.  This video is just brilliant.  It made us stop and think..not only about the story being told, but about our own lives and the level of participation we and our clients have in the community and beyond.  </p>
<p>What a amazing idea Sony has to develop a project where the youth in our country have the unique opportunity to become rocket scientists and build something truly remarkable. </p>
<p>What projects are you planning to change lives and fulfill dreams?  </p>
<p>What is the lesson to be learned from this video as it relates to building a brand?  </p>
<p>The answer is simple.  Were you moved during the video?  Did the project they are embarking on inspire you?  Odds are that it did and that my friends is the most powerful result you could ask for.  Sony developed a project that truly does fulfill dreams while elevating their brand in a truly innovative and emotional way.  </p>
<p>Aren&#8217;t you slightly curious to see how successful the students are with their adventure?  Of course you are.  </p>

<p>Dream!   Explore!   Break the rules and push the edges! </p>
<p>My best ideas typically pop out of nowhere while showering or in the middle of the night.  Yet some of my worst ideas get puked out on the conference room table.  Gather your team and get some fresh air.  It&#8217;s amazing how thoughts can flow when you feel the sun on your face and do something different.  </p>

Guess what?  We love it!  Ideas that push the edges or make people uncomfortable is what innovation and creativity is all about.

<p>How often do you hear of someone chatting up a new idea that seems far from reality?  If you talk with as many entrepreneurs as we do you probably hear it a lot.   Guess what?  We love it!  Ideas that push the edges or make people uncomfortable is what innovation and creativity is all about.</p>
<p>I am not advocating that all crazy ideas have merit or even the likelihood of success.  I do however, feel it&#8217;s imperative to think so far outside the box its ridiculous then work your way towards the center.</p>
<p>Do you have any idea how crazy it seemed back in the good &#8216;ol days when the idea of people moving in motorized vehicles came about?  Or how about the concept that someday the average household would have a personal computer?   These were ideas that created such controversy and accusations of insanity you would be shocked&#8230;.yet, now they are a part of our everyday life.</p>
<p>The key is to not hold back your thinking.  Enjoy your ability be create.  Push the envelope and be aware of those you share your ideas with.  The most valuable opinions don&#8217;t always come from your current circle of influence (spouse, co-workers, etc.).</p>
<p>Find those who can help you to develop those ideas into a cohesive thought or plan of action.  You may be shocked at what you can create if you do a little dreaming.</p>
<p>Remember, if you aren&#8217;t going to someone else will.</p>
<p>Good example, I personally invented the internet long before it was popular.  Damn, should&#8217;ve done something about it&#8230;.j/k.</p>
